• Clinical evaluation of the investigational fractional infrared laser system (modified smoothbeam) intended for treatment of skin rejuvenation; wrinkles, texture, pigment & soft tissue, including acne scars

This study will assist Dr Zelickson and the sponsor to gain further knowledge about the safety and efficacy for treatment of photo damage and mild acne scarring with the 1450 Smoothbeam with a fractionated laser.

Requirements, age 21–60, moderate wrinkling or sun damage or mild acne scarring. Adherence to study treatment and follow up schedules and daily use of sunscreen for duration of study.

• Facial and neck Laxity study

This study will assist Dr Zelickson and the sponsor to gain further knowledge about the safety and efficacy for treatment of skin laxity with a 1310 diode laser.

Requirements, age 18–60 with submental (lower facial/neck) laxity. Qualified candidates must be able to adhere to the study schedule of 1 treatment and 3 follow up visits, total time commitment 6 months. Candidates must also adhere to use of daily sunscreen of spf 35 or higher for duration of trial.

• Patient Education/consultation

This study will assist Dr. Zelickson and the sponsor to gain further knowledge of the role of physicians and professionals in consulting and educating patients on treatments and procedures.

Requirements for potential candidates: Consultation appointment with Dr Zelickson for fat layer reduction with Zeltiq device. Qualified candidates will be given the option to participate in the study and answer questionnaires post treatment.

• Thermage/Ultherapy Comparison

This study will assist Dr. Zelickson to gain further knowledge about the usefulness of radiofrequency versus ultrasound treatment to smooth and tighten the skin without surgery.

Requirements for potential candidates: You must be between 18 and 60 years of age, and have facial laxity. You also must be able to adhere to the treatment schedule of 1 treatment and 3 follow up treatments, total time commitment 6 months.

Cost: $900.00


• Pre–surgical abdominoplasty (“tummy tuck”)

This study will assist Dr. Zelickson and the sponsor to gain further knowledge about the role of lasers in affecting the structure of the skin.

Requirements for potential candidates: You must be scheduled to have a tummy tuck. You must also be able to begin this study 4 to 6 weeks before your scheduled surgery and be cleared for surgery by your primary physician.
