FAQ

Is there a consultation fee, and how much is it?

Zel charges a one–time consultation fee of $105.00, which can later beapplied to your first purchase of products and/or services. The consultation is your most important appointment at Zel. We’ll listen to your concerns and educate you on the available treatment options.

Who performs the treatments?

Dr. Zelickson, our registered nurses, and our medical aestheticians provide services within their area of expertise. Each member of our staff is highly trained and experienced.

Does insurance pay for the treatments?

The majority of our treatments are cosmetic and not medically necessary. Insurance does not reimburse for such procedures. However, some procedures, such as laser treatment for birthmarks(Port wine stains), are covered by most insurance companies. If your’re in doubt about it consult with your insurer reimbursement policies.

How does one sign up to be a participant for research studies?

Please go to Our Research to find a downloadable participation form, which you can complete and email to our research coordinator.

What is the difference between skincare treatments at Zel and treatments at a spa?

The products we use and sell at Zel are all medically formulated. Moreover, our treatments are dermatologist directed,  — which means they’re directed and supervised by a physician. This is not true at spas.

What products should a patient use?

Zel recommends that you have a personalized skin care consultation with one of our medical professionals to determine exactly what products will best improve and maintain your skin’s integrity.
